Welcome to the website of 'Spike's Place'. Spike's Place is a collective name for four jazz clubs in Essex and Kent run by Susan May-Robinson, in memory of her late husband, the great American jazz saxophonist, Spike Robinson, from which the clubs get their name.

 

Spike's Place brings you the very best in live mainstream and modern jazz, from the best musicians on the UK and international circuit.

Brentwood gigs are held every Tuesday (apart from the last Tuesday of the month); Beckenham gigs are held the first, second and fourth Thursday's of the month; Saffron Walden on the third Thursday of the month and Southend on the last Saturday of the month. Memberships are available for Brentwood and Beckenham and entitle you to discounts on the admission prices. Admission can be paid on the door or reserved in advance by contacting Susan.
